A Week of Peace in a World of Turmoil

A Week of Peace in a World of Turmoil

Holding Space for Passover and Good Friday

Today I made my usual wish of peace for Passover and Good Friday & Easter on Instagram. I wished everyone a happy Holy Week, sharing that for me, today is Good Friday, which is a day of distinct holiness. I also wished Shalom to all my friends celebrating Passover.

My wish is, and always has been, for all who celebrate and all who do not to have a peaceful and happy holiday.

When Peace Feels Out of Reach

These days, however, it seems very hard to envision peace. Our country is embroiled abroad in battle and at home with so much discord that life can feel disheartening. So as I made the post, I thought deeply about what it is to truly wish for a peaceful holiday.

Remembering Our Better Selves

I believe that at all times, now is the time to remember our better selves and know that there is something greater than ourselves. When we only look and think small, we act small.

Finding Inspiration in NASA Artemis Program

Maybe you are like me, and inspired by Artemis. I was born after the moon landing and tiny when the last landing happened. Returning to space is exciting and a sign of what humanity is capable of when we work together. None of those astronauts is there by their own efforts. Hundreds of men and women worked daily for years to get them up, and are still working to ensure their safe return. It is an exciting example of teamwork.

Choosing Belief in Humanity

The dichotomy of these world events at times leaves me bewildered, but I choose to believe. I believe in you. I believe in us. We can be incredible, if only we choose to be.

A Simple Wish for Peace This Holy Week

So peace to all this Holy Week.
