A Poetic Yarn - "A Wild Lass"
Share
Today, I wrote a poem; something I haven't done in far too long. I was inspired by my dear friend, @thepositivemom, to write about wildflowers in winter.
Here is my go:

A Wild Lass
On the tawny cliffs
high in tartan lands
whipped by icy winds
There lies a wild thing.
She grows thick along
the barren cracks left
dry by midnight sun.
Nowhere, everywhere.
In the long dark night,
still her stubborn shrub
refuses to give.
The vacant expanse,
cold and unyielding
painted with violet.
Her name is Heather.
